Online Classes – Streamed Live


Thursday 9:15am class 

Given the success of Zoom Pilates Classes, we continue to run a class online on Thursday mornings at 9:15am. 

During the class there will be a choice of levels offered in many of the exercises. Your instructor will be happy to chat to you before your first class or after any of the classes to help you find the level of comfort or challenge that suits you best.

What do I need?

You will need an Exercise mat and a couple of hand towels.  Pilates mats tend to be slightly thicker than yoga mats to give more comfort but this is not essential.

A device that can connect to the internet – this could be a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone.  You will need to download Zoom to connect to the class (see information below).

Find a quiet location in your house so you can focus on the class and on your movements.   Place your device on a stable surface close enough for you to be able to see it whilst exercising.

When & Cost?

Thursdays at 9:15am (1 hour class)

Please aim to join five to ten minutes before so you can get connected and settled.

Online classes run in 6 to 8 week blocks within school term times but you can start at any time with a free taster week.  

Each week costs £7 per person.


What can I expect?

The Pilates exercises will include gentle stretches and strengthening exercises with suggestions as to how you can alter the position or difficulty level to suit you. 

If you have never joined a Pilates class online before don’t fear. The technology should be straightforward and I’m on hand to help you if you have any problems.

When you join the online session, please have your camera on so you can say hello.  Once the class starts, I will turn everyone’s audio feed off until the end of the class, your camera is up to you.  This way you can focus on the exercises, on your movement and on your breathing without distraction.

I will send you our Health & Registration Form to complete and return.  If you have any health concerns I am happy to discuss these with you before your first class.

You will receive a link and password by email inviting you to join the Zoom meeting.  

If you haven’t used Zoom before you will need to download it to your device before your first class (see below).

Before your class begins simply click on the link to enter the meeting and type in the password when prompted.

You should then be connected and ready to exercise!

What equipment do I need?

You will need an exercise mat and a couple of hand towels or pillow to use as a head support.

There is no need for extra equipment, however I will sometimes demonstrate how you can include an optional small Pilates ball or light hand weights in some of the exercises for added challenge.
